Service Description

The course design team will group intended learning outcomes from the sequences of assessed learning into logical clusters. These logical clusters of intended learning outcomes will each serve as a prospective unit of study within the qualification. The course design team will translate the clustering of units into an institutionally endorsed qualification structure. For example, a course design team working on an undergraduate degree, will refer to the Degrees of Difference Design Thresholds and Expectations to classify and sequence prospective units as degree core knowledge, experience and engagement, specialisation/major and elective components. The intended outcome is for the course design team to be able to finalise the size (number of units) for each course component. The course design team will construct a schedule of units for each component within the proposed qualification. For example, a course design team working on an undergraduate degree, will construct a list of units for the degree core knowledge, experience and engagement, specialisation/major and elective components of the proposed qualification.
